Brow Lift

Brow lifts remove forehead lines, returns the eyebrows to their former positin and shape and makes the nose look longer.

Recovery Period

Patients are discharged the day of or after the operation. Swelling and bruising may be seen for 2-3 days. There is virtually no risk of bleeding with the endoscopic brow lift method. Patients can shower and bathe 2 days and return to work 3 days after being discharged with their doctor’s permission.

Reasons to Have a Brow Lift

Eyebrows and the skin beneath them begin to sag due to age and gravity and, by pressing on the upper eyelids, can ruin aesthetics surrounding the eyes. Sagging eyebrows can leave a tired and sad looking face. Smoking, unhealthy diets, pollution, irregular skin care as well as ageing cause the eyebrows to take on an unaesthetic look. Ilnesses such as facial paralysis and tumours can also cause saggy eyebrows.

Surgical Methods

There are three brow lift methods. These are the limited incision method, the open brow lift and the endoscopic brow lift. The endoscopic brow lift is the most popular option today due to the permanency of its results and the fact it leaves no visible scarring.

Type of Anaesthesia and Length of Procedure

General anaesthetic is administered in hospital conditions and the procdure lasts 1-2 hours on average.
